Did they have spectacles in Noah day?I
I guess that explains that little indiscretion. Noah thought it was his wife. Surprise!
(Genesis 9:24, 25) . . .Finally Noah awoke from his wine and got to know what his youngest son had done to him.

How EARLY CHURCH divisions destroyed HISTORY

Eusebius was frustrated that Papias interpreted things literally, and accused him of “misunderstanding the apostolic accounts, not perceiving that the things said by them were spoken mystically in figurative language.”
So in other words it’s like me coming home from work and saying, “I'm so hungry I could eat a cow”
Of course I can’t eat a cow, but Papias would have taken it literally.
I wonder what else was taken literally or misunderstood by some of those writers of the Gospels?
Quote By Jesus after He hits his thumb with a hammer; “Well I’ll be a Son of a gun”
Same quote by Jesus written by a writer; “I am the Son of God”

So I overheard a discussion that my son and wife were having about creation yesterday
by My Name is of No Consequence inso i am getting ready for bed yesterday night and i overhear my teenage son and wife talking about how the evidence of creation far outweighs the evidence of evolution.
i heard my son say that evolution has so many holes and how could something happen from nothing.
i wanted to open the door and ask them both how the creator happened from nothing just to see what they would say..

John, the WTS calls it "micro-evolution" to distinguish it from "macro-evolution". But of course they will not (and cannot!) explain where the boundary would be then between these two.
Thanks Nelim!

If Women were elders, would it make a difference in the organization?
by John Aquila inimagine three single sisters who qualified to be appointed as elders in the congregation.
they qualified because they started reaching out in their early teens.
persistently and methodically they worked their way through the ranks by pioneering then becoming a m.s.

Knowing my luck I'd be in a judicial committee with 3 harridans that looked like Margaret Thatcher or Harriet Harman.

An attractive single sister is often treated like dirt by the married sisters in the hall. Trust me, I know.
That may be true in regard to being treated like dirt by married sisters, but would it really matter to a beautiful women what married sisters would think?

There's a word for that, I can't seem to remember.

Newspaper article: 'Rise of ISIS and earthquakes are WARNINGS before ARMAGEDDON destroys Earth'
by AndersonsInfo inhttp://www.express.co.uk/news/nature/581439/rise-isis-earthquakes-warnings-before-armageddon-apocalypse-end-destroys-volcanoes-earth.
the "end" of mankind, which has been long predicted by jehovah's witnesses, could happen as soon as this year - according to latest announcement from the christian religion.. in the latest edition of jehovah's witnesses monthly publication watchtower, an article translated into 700 languages - urges people to join the religion or face certain death when god sends his forces from the heavens to "remove all world leaders," "exterminate his enemies" and "rid the world of satan".. critics have lambasted the warning of a coming armageddon as yet another "failed prediction" by the religion, which has previously delivered similar alerts such as a foretold apocalypse in 1975.. indeed, jehovah's witnesses have been warning people of the need to recognise jehovah or face certain death when the "end" comes for more than 100 years.. the christian-based religion was founded in the 1870s by charles taze russell in pittsburgh, pennsylvania, us, as an offshoot from the bible studies movement.. today, there are 8.2million jehovah's witness evangelists, while 19.9 million celebrated their annual memorial festival marking christ's death - worldwide in 2014.. followers do not believe in military service and will not accept blood transfusions.. in a new eight-page article, watchtower said jehovah's witness leaders are now "convinced" humans are in their "final days" before the armageddon.. they cite an increase in global armed conflict, such as the rise of the islamic state terror group, as well as natural disasters such as volcanoes and earthquakes.. the lengthy article, written by an unnamed author, said: "will god let humans continue to dominate one another and threaten the future of mankind?
no, as we have seen, he will step in and bring an end to centuries of misery and oppression.

In 2009, my Dad told me the reason the Big 'A' was sooo close was the bad economy. I guess the reasons change year over yearI heard this year that is was so close because the Bachelorette had sex with one of the Bachelors on tv.

Even the WTBTS acknowledges that, only in such weasely language that it is hard to see unless you're really looking.
Hi Oubliette
Do you recall the publication or magazine where they acknowledge evolution? Thanks!
